APLAR Pre-Congress Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Workshop
Official language:
Simultaneous projection slides will be presented in English.
A certificate of attendance and competency assessment will be supplied for each participant.
The registration fee includes 2 days workshop, lunch and coffee breaks.
Objectives:
To provide basic understanding of the principle of diagnostic ultrasound
To know about the normal ultrasound appearance of various tissues relevant to musculoskeletal MSK
To know the applications of USG in the clinical management of MSK medicine and its limitations
To acquire hands-on experience in the operation of ultrasound machine
To learn about basic positioning of patients and acquire standardized scan for various joint regions
Format:
Conduct a series of lectures
Course handout
Parallel hands-on workshop for various joint regions
Application Deadline: September 16th, 2017
Registration Required:
After being selected by the Committee, you will be requested to register for the workshop.
The workshop fee is USD 940 for the 2 days. Please note that this course has a 40 person registration minimum and is limited to 75 registrants.
Applicants will be considered on a first come first serve basis. Up to 10 candidates will be shortlisted in the event of cancellations.
Applicants shall be evaluated by the Organizing Committee. The decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final with respect to selection of candidates for the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course.

Instructions for Poster Presentations
All poster presentations will be scheduled in one of 5 poster sessions.
Your poster should be mounted by the start of your poster session and removed promptly at the end of your poster session time. We appreciate your cooperation in removing your poster in time and adhering to this schedule.
Participants should be present at their designated poster board(s) during session breaks during their scheduled poster session to answer any questions.
The Organizing Committee will not be responsible for posters that are not removed by the end of their assigned poster session.
Please note that the poster program will be available online only and will not be included in the printed program booklet you will receive on-site. Therefore you are requested to familiarize yourself with the poster board number and poster session time assigned to you.

Instructions for Oral Presentations
· If using a PowerPoint presentation, please bring it with you on a USB Memory stick. Further instructions for uploading your presentation slides will be made available on site.
· Assemble in your session room at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.
· Ensure that you sit near the front of the room with easy access to the stage.
· Ensure that you keep to the time allocated to you, as it will cause disruption to sessions if you run over your allotted time.
Please make sure that you check the Online Program during the Congress for any updates to your session day, time and hall.
